*CG ffeloc Rocky Mount
Pulaski Co. vs. Franklin Co. Cy Dillon Stadium doubled its :00 home side capacity this off-season and
it was full last night, as Jack Turner
returned to town trying to keep the
Cougars from falling to an unthinkable
0-and-3.

Franklin County's D.J. Willis
would get the high scoring affair in
motion as he scores from 15 yards out
going right up the middle to make it
6-to-nothing after the missed kick.

Pulaski would answer back with
Kevin Crouse as he caps off a 60 yard
drive with this 15 yard touchdown run
that also ties it at 6-all after

another missed kick.

The Eagles next drive would
result in another score as Willis finds
a wide open Mark Kent booking it down
the left side. He makes the catch and
outruns everyone else on the field for
the 66 yard score. 13-to-6 Eagles.

The Cougars would then come back
with Shay Dunagan getting the ball to
Crouse - who will take it through the
traffic, break free into the open and
then show folks that his injured ankle
is on the mend as he outruns them all
to the house to make it 13-all.

The Eagles would keep clawing
away at the Pulaski defense as J.T.
Edwards goes off the right end, finds
the sideline, and he will ride it 21
yards for the score to put Franklin
County back in front 20-to-13.

The track meet would continue
with Pulaski's Benji Poindexter finding
a seam down the right sideline. He
will squeeze his way through the
defense and the chalk on the 37 yard
gallop. It's now 20-all still in the
second quarter.
*CG 850

Franklin County would go back in

front 41-to-27, but Pulaski got it tied
up in regulation and the Cougars win it
44-to-41 in overtime - shocking

makes the diving catch for a 33 yard
gain deep into PH territory.

Two plays later - Payne finds
Ricky Benjamin for the six yard score
and Heritage climbs back it in -
slicing the lead to 28-to-20 in the
fourth.

But PH would weather the storm as
Joseph Mesadieu bobbles the kickoff,
picks it up , gets under control , hit

Cook pretty much did do it all carrying
the Spartans to a big early season win
and in the process capturing our Friday
