has been missing since Labor Day.

The freshman at V-C-U was last
seen leaving her dorm room.

Yesterday morning, police in
Richmond announced that the case will
be taken over by a task force--
including the F-B-I, State Police and
V-C-U Police.

Officials say they do NOT suspect
foul play, but they have classified the
case as "criminal" which will allow
them to bring in extra resources.

Convenience Store in Danville were both
robbed last night.

In both robberies, a male entered
the business, displayed a handgun, and
demanded money.

The Joy Food Mart suspect is
being described as a black male wearing
all black clothes, gloves and ski mask.

The Sunrise Convenience Store
suspect is being described as a light

skinned black male, wearing a white
tee-shirt, and a blue stocking- type
mask over his face.

the possibility the robberies are

investigating whether two convenience
store robberies are related.

The Joy Food Mart and Sunrise
Convenience Store in Danville were both
robbed last night.

In both robberies, a male entered

transfering about a half-dozen
employees to the Blacksburg office.

Residents aren't happy about the
news.

They argue that 54-percent of

the county is national forest and that
the forest service should have some
sort of active presence in the region.
