Montgomery County murder case could
soon be in the hands of the jury.

Livingston Bud Pritchett is accused
of killing 57 year old Estell Singelton
at the Ironto rest stop back in 1997.

Pritchett took the stand in his own
defense today, telling the jury he did
not kill Singleton and was never at the
rest stop.

He says he found Singelton's credit
card, two trash bags full of clothes
and three handguns at a shopping center
in Salem.

The prosecution says Pritchett killed
Singelton and then went on a shopping
spree.

They say the murder weapon was found
under Pritchett's bed.

Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans that
the adjoining New Orleans Arena has
almost been an afterthought.

Superdome, and after an inspection over
the weekend - officials say it is in
worse shape than they originally
thought.

Four feet of water sat on the
south end of the coliseum floor for
over a week.

NBA announced this afternoon that the
team will play 35 regular season games

in Oklahoma City this season at the 19
thousand seat Ford Center.

The plan also calls for the
Hornets to play six regular season
games in Baton Rouge at LSU, and then
return to New Orleans by next season.

Orleans that damage to the Superdome is
not as bad as first thought, and the
building may be able to be repaired and

announced the signing of two rookies
today.

Left winger MIchael Krelove spent
three season in the Ontario Hockey
League and most recently he played in
the Superior International Junior
Hockey League.

McKenzie, who is a 21 year old
goalie, played the past two seasons in
the British Columbia Hockey League.

The Vipers' opening weekend is

October 21st and 22nd.

This Morning - the home of The First Tee of :00 Roanoke Valley program - was officially
christened today at its grand opening.

The first tee program teaches
youth - who normally would not have the
access or means to learn the game of
golf - golf skills as well as life
skills.

The facility is located on four
acres of land near Westside Elementary
school in Northwest Roanoke.

Already more than 100 youth have
gotten involved in the program that
offers scholarships.

Katrina.
