GRAPHIC=Rita Hurricane Rita is stirring up trouble
for residents along the Texas and
Louisiana coastlines, as it continues
building strength in the Gulf of
Mexico.
Rita has been upgraded to a Category
Three storm, and has caused evacuation
orders in Galveston, Texas and New
Orleans-- which could get flooded all
over again.
After Katrina left so much
devastation there just a few weeks ago,

death of a woman whose body was found
inside a Petersburg motel room.

Authorities say 54- year- old Tyrone
Bishop had occupied the room for most
of the month, but had left two weeks
ago because of scheduled renovations.
They say a maintenance crews found
the woman's decomposed body yesterday.
It was wrapped up in a blanket
underneath the bed, and had been there
for months.
Authorities are not yet identifying
the woman.
Bishop, meanwhile, is charged with
involuntary manslaughter and improper
disposal of a body.

interest in her disappearance.

in an eight year old Montgomery County
murder case.

Rita is getting stronger as it pushes
through the Gulf of Mexico.
The storm could flood New Orleans
all over again.
Now engineers are scrambling to
shore up the city's Katrina- damaged
levees.
The Army Corps of Engineers says
the levees can only handle up to six
inches of rain and a storm surge of 10
to 12 feet.
But it looks like Rita could bring a
lot more rain than that.

Petersburg motel room.
Police say it appears the body had
been there for months.

Bishop had occupied the room for most
of September, but had left two weeks
ago because of scheduled renovations.
They say a maintenance crew found
the woman's decomposed body yesterday.
It was wrapped up in a blanket

for months.
Authorities are not yet identifying
the woman.
Bishop, meanwhile, is charged with
involuntary manslaughter and improper
disposal of a body.

The two were introduced by a
mutual friend back in February when

find a woman's decomposed body inside a
Petersburg motel room.

jurors at John Gotti, Junior's
racketeering trial said they were
deadlocked on all but one count.
Gotti was acquitted of conspiracy to
commit securities fraud.
Radio talk show host Curtis Sliwa
(SLEE'-wah) says he was
stunned the jury couldn't reach a
verdict on a charge that Gotti
planned his 19- 92 kidnapping and
shooting.
Meanwhile, defense attorneys plan to
ask Gotti be released on bail.

time in prison.

February 24 Police say 39-year-old Tammy Boaze
(BOHZ) was weaving around other
vehicles when she clipped a car on
Route 501 near Naruna February 24th.
The impact sent the car skidding
into the other lane where it collided
head-on with a vehicle driven by
43-year-old Darryl Younger ... Younger
was killed instantly.
A judge yesterday sentenced Boaze
to a total of 13 years on traffic and
aggravated involuntary manslaughter
charges.
