Last Saturday This past Saturday, a couple of

former Friday Football Extra stars
continued to excel on the football
field for the Cavaliers.

Bath County Product John Phillips
made his first collegiate catch count.

He caught a pass from Marques
Hagans, and dragged a number of Duke
defenders into the endzone.

After debate by the officials, they
ruled Phillips in for the score.

(MORE NATS WITH SCOTT)

---.

Scott just re-opened Stella's- his
restaurant in the french quarter.

---.

IT'S BEEN TOTALLY INSANE EVERYDAY IS
LIKE SURVIVAL.

.

There's no electricity so his French
trained chef -- is grilling

burgers out back. Food his hard to
come by so pickles and potato chips

are the only side orders.

AndMost of his staff can't get
through checkpoints into the city, so

his Mom is taking orders...

--.

7 CHEESE BURGERS- TWO OF THEM TO
GO!

---.

One of four people feeding 300 every
day.

---.

( PAT BOSWELL) I SAID I'M WEARING
THIN! LOOK AT ME, I USED TO BE CUTE...

---.

The only thing the restaurant isn't
short on right now is heart...

---.

aLL THESE PEOPLE ARE WORKING FOR
FREE NOW WE DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE

The PAYCHECKS ARE COMING FROM...

---.

Just getting supplies is a lesson in
determination...

---.

(nat sound ) WE HAVE SOME DIESEL
COMING, BUT IT'S GONNA BE AN HOUR SO

I GOTTA FIND MORE.

---.

And diplomacy. On this day,

Boswell bartered with the National

Guard trading cheese burgers..

---.

( tokyo tape)HOW MANY Y'ALL NEED?
15...

---.

For Diesel for his generator.

---.

(tokyo tape) THE BARTER SYSTEM:
FOOD, EVERYONE WANTS FOOD.

---.

Power is supposed to be restored to
the French Quarter today, but it

might not matter.

---

(nat Pat Boswell) EVERYDAY THE
WORD GETS OUT IT GETS BIGGER

----

Long after the lights come back
on, Stella's might be remembered

for more than the place that help feed
New Orleans hungry souls.

---.

(ginsburg tape) YOU DON"T KNOW HOW
HARD IT WAS TO MAKE THIS BURGER.

---.

(PEOPLE DANCING NAT SOUND MUSIC)

---.

It helped the city get back on its

feet. Sharyn Alfonsi, CBS New
