but now two people are dead after an
accident in Botetourt County.

morning around 8:30 on Route 11 near
Cavalier Equipment in Cloverdale.

A Nissan sedan was traveling
southbound, when the driver tried to
make a U- turn and was hit by a truck.

Amherst County authorities nab two
people suspected of growing and selling
marijuana.

A state police helicopter was
helping the sheriff's office with
another case when police spotted
marijuana plants growing behind a home
on Round Mountain Loop.

Sheriff's authorities seized the
pot and raided the home, finding an
indoor growing operation, marijuana
packaged for sale, and several
firearms.

They arrested 47-year-old
Randolph James Patrick and 42-year-old
Jalaine Williams.

Both are being held without bond.

Crossing apartment complex around 11.

That's where a suspect had
apparently holed up in an apartment and
was refusing to come out.

Tactical teams were put together
while negotiators tried to make contact
with the man.

apartment ... and quickly made an
arrest.

County has turned into a Grayson
County murder.

State Police say what looked like
a car crash involving a North Carolina
man was actually a homicide.

Police won't say what killed 35
year old Stacy Richardson, but they did

discovered a second crime scene along a
road on Whitetop Mountain.

They arrested two Smyth County
men, Marcus Good and Michael Norman,
and charged them with first degree
murder and larceny.

The two are being held at the New
River Valley Regional Jail.

Champions.

The Padres clinched the spot by
beating the second-place Giants 9-to-1.

The Padres are going to the
postseason for the fourth time in their
37-year history.

They're currently at .500 and are
threatening to erase the 19- 73 New
York Mets as the team with the lowest
winning percentage to reach the
playoffs.

The Mets won 82 games that year.
