Days after a major road project
was completed in Danville, the city has
begun another one nearby.

ENG#=1 VO-NAT

:00 The King Memorial Bridge in
downtown Danville is finally open to
traffic.

And creating plenty of confusion.

It use to be traffic into and out
of downtown shared a bridge, now there
are two bridges, one for each
direction.

The new route cost more than 14
million dollars and took nearly four
years to complete.

And many downtown businesses are
glad the project is finally complete.

But so far traffic has stayed
away because the city immediately
started a beautification project.

Workers are putting in a brick
circle at the intersection of Main
Street and Memorial Bridge.

That construction means more
detours and more confusion.
