a little after seven o'clock this
evening in Bedford County.
One person is dead, another
seriously injured after a single-car
wreck.

State police say this pickup truck
was headed south on Blackwater Road in
New London when the driver apparently
lost control.
The truck veered off the road and
flipped over ... both the driver and a
passenger were thrown from the pickup.
One of them was pronounced dead at
the scene ... the other was flown to
Lynchburg General Hospital.
No names or other details have
been released.
Police believe alcohol was a
factor in the crash.

a dozen injured after a crash last
night in Louisa County.
The accident happened on Route 15
just south of Route 33.
Police say around nine o'clock
last night -- a car was trying to pass
a
truck when it lost control and struck
two oncoming cars.
Two women and a ten-year-old boy
died. Their identities are NOT
being released at this time. Eleven
others were injured.
A Virginia State Police crash
team from Ashland is investigating
the accident.

gruesome discovery inside a house this
morning.
They found a badly decomposed
body in a basement on Laconia Drive.
Police aren't releasing much at
this time -- but say they have NOT
ruled out the possibility of foul play,
or suicide.
