The blaze broke out around 1:45 this
morning at Zeta Psi SIGH on Roanoke
Street.

It apparently started on a couch on the
front porch.

Although firefiefighters were quick to
arrive on the scene, the blaze did
significant damage.

who escaped from custody.

got away from deputies who had taken

Gibson's restraints were removed
for a medical procedure.

She escaped after saying she needed to

weekend boating trip turned tragic.

boats going out today..

ship that was coming in right as

the ethan allen was pulling out
yesterday..

"we obviously saw the people we passed

The Ethan Allen capsized in the middle
of Lake George yesterday

afternoon. Many of the 50 passengers
onboard were senior citizens from

Michigan. 21 of them never made it
back to shore..Investiagtors are

still trying to determine what caused
the accident..Eyewitnesses said a


larger tour boat came near the ethan
allen and the wake caused it to

overturn.

"Divers will be going into the lake
today to try to raise the Ethan

Allen, and maybe shed some light on
what made the boat capsize."



While many here in this small tourist
community are mourning this

tragedy, friends joanne mckenzie and
judy maiden are also considering

themsleves blessed..they walked by the
ethan yesterday and were going to

go on, but at the last minute decided
not to..

jackets on the Ethan Allen, NY state

Saturday night.

Indonesian police want to know is this
man was one of the bombers.

The blasts ripped through three
restaurants, killing 22 people and
injuring over 100-- including six
Americans.

and a new two-man crew were board the
Russian Soyuz spacecraft today when he
docked successfully at the
International Space Station.

Olsen is the third non-astronaut to
visit the orbiting station, reportedly
paying about 20- million dollars for

the trip.

Since the 2003 Columbia disaster,
the U- S has relied on the Russians to
ferry crews and supplies to the space
station.

multi-vehicle accident in Louisa County
including a ten year old boy from
Roanoke.

Eleven others were injured.

The accident happened around nine
o-clock Saturday night on Route 15,
just south of Route 33.

Police say a car was trying to
pass a truck when it sideswiped an
oncoming minivan.

Both vehicles slid sideways into
opposite lanes, with the car hitting a
station wagon and the minivan striking
a truck.

The driver of the car was from
New York.


She died at the scene.

A Roanoke woman driving the
minivan and four passengers were taken
to the UVA Medical Center.

Two other passengers, an adult
female who has not been identified and
ten-year-old John Thomas Mosier of
Roanoke, died at the scene.

State Police are
investigating.

a badly decomposed body in a basement
of a home yesterday.

Laconia Avenue off Williamson, after
the owner discovered a dead body in the
basement of his rental property.

Police immediately began
interviewing neighbors, who said there
had been a foul smell coming from the
house for the last couple of weeks.


Although some neighbors are
saying that the death could be a
suicide, officials on the scene could
not confirm or deny that suspicion.

Latsis.

In a statement released to a
spokesperson, Paris said that she's
"just not ready for marriage".

The couple got engaged last spring,

five million- dollar diamond engagement
ring.


No word yet on whether Hilton will
