Students who normally attend Brookneal
Elementary School in Campbell County
are headed back to class, but at
different schools for the next two to
three weeks, beginning today.

Last week, another Texas grand jury
indicted him on a conspiracy charge,

conspiring to violate Texas campaign
finance laws.
Meanwhile, DeLay says the prosecutor

that capsized in Upstate New York
didn't have enough crew members on
board.

The Ethan Allen overturned Sunday,
killing 20 elderly sightseers from
Michigan.
It was required to have another crew
member, in addition to the captain
operating the boat.
State regulators suspended the
licenses for all of the boats belonging
to the company that operates the tour.
The Ethan Allen is now out of the
water.
Crews raised the sunken vessel
yesterday so federal investigators can
examine the wreck.

Bedford residents whose well-water has
been contaminated by the old Bedford
City landfill.

Yesterday, work crews began
construction on a half-mile long
pipeline that will provide city water
to people along Bell Town and Draper
Roads.
Local wells have had problems with
contaminants leaching into the water
from the city's old landfill, which
closed more than ten years ago.
Construction should be finished by
December.
The 18-hundred dollar fee to
connect to the water line will be
waived for the affected residents.

those killed in a four-vehicle accident
in Louisa County.

It happened around nine o'clock
Saturday night on Route-15, northeast
of Charlottesville.

Saturday Night State police say the accident was
triggered when a car tried to pass a
pickup truck.
The driver of that car died on the
scene, along with two others in a
minivan -- 38-year-old Bridget Stoope

trip to King's Dominion.

New court documents name three
women-
one of them a deputy of five years who
says the Sheriff stated He liked
uniforms to be fitted.. said she had a
nice ass and ought to show it off."
Rhonda Johnson states that as he
spoke the sheriff put his hand on the
inside of her thigh.
Johnson also said she tried to
take her own life in part because of
the harassment and was admitted to St.
Albans this past August. Within a
couple of weeks, she said she was
notified that her job had been
terminated.
In a News 7 exclusive interview two
weeks ago we heard from the former
public information officer at the
department.

yours- she said that made her

sexually harassing employees.. he filed
a motion to dismiss the lawsuit.
Late yesterday afternoon, the
plaintiffs filed a response saying the
case should go forward- and that no
woman should have to hug or kiss the
sheriff ... or permit groping or
touching in order to keep her job.

McMillan sexually harassed them-
New court documents name three
women-
one of them a deputy of five years who
says the Sheriff stated He liked
uniforms to be fitted.. said she had a
nice ass and ought to show it off."
Rhonda Johnson states that as he
spoke the sheriff put his hand on the
inside of her thigh.
Johnson also said she tried to
take her own life in part because of
the harassment and was admitted to St.
Albans this past August. Within a
couple of weeks, she said she was
notified that her job had been
terminated.
In a News 7 exclusive interview two
weeks ago we heard from the former
public information officer at the
department.

yours- she said that made her

pipeline to provide city water to
people along Bell Town and Draper
Roads.
Local wells have had problems with
contaminants leaching into the water
from the city's old landfill, which
closed more than ten years ago.
Construction should be finished by
December.
The 18-hundred dollar fee to
connect to the water line will be
waived for the affected residents.

The Kaine camp says Kilgore is
ignoring the facts in order to mislead
voters.
A spokesman says Kaine does NOT
support increasing the gas tax and
didn't even support the 2004 budget
package until a hike in the tax was
dropped.

dozens of central Virginia businesses
over the last two months is behind
bars, thanks to some persistent police
work.

VO-NAT 45-year-old Donald Ray Todd, Junior was
arrested last week after police caught
him in the act of breaking into a
lighting store on Timberlake Road.

Todd had been under surveillance
after a Campbell County deputy stopped
him for suspicious activity a week
earlier.
Police believe Todd was breaking
into the businesses to feed a drug
habit.
He's charged with 16 burglaries and
is a suspect in at least a dozen others

immunizations clinic this week at the
Salem Civic Center.
But the shots are only for people at
highest risk for contracting the flu.
They include people 65 and older,
