Here is what a bed bug looks like.
They can vary in size, some even
smaller than the tip of a pencil.
They thrive on blood. One of the
first indications that you've come in
contact with them is a bite, similar to
a mosquito bite.
SOT FULL
2:07:32 runs=13
A LOT OF PEOPLE DON'T REALIZE THAT BED
BUGS AREN'T JUST A MYTH THAT THEY HEARD
ABOUT AS A KID AND WHAT TO DO ABOUT
THEM THEY ARE VERY DIFFICULT TO
CONTROL AND VERY HARD TO SEE SOME OF
THEM AND THIS HAS BEEN A PARTICULAR
ISSUE THAT PEOPLE HAVE BEEN CONCERNED
ABOUT WANTING TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT
(END SOT)
That's why Tech graduate student
David Moore is trying to find a way to
kill them. Right now there is no
treatment that's been proven effective.
SOT FULL
2:21:33 runs=12
THEY'RE PRETTY RESILIENT BUT ALSO
DEPENDS ON YOUR METHOD. 37 I'VE SEEN
INSECTICIDES THAT WORK AS QUICKLY AS 45
MINUTES AND THERE WERE SOME THAT TOOK
LONGER
(END SOT)
So what can you do to protect
yourself? Inspecting places where you
stay is crucial because they not only
hide in beds, but behind picture
frames, and even in chest of drawers.
SOT FULL
2:40:01runs=11
BECAUSE BED BUGS FEED ON BLOOD THEN OF
COURSE THE BLOOD COMES OUT THE BACK END
THAT WILL LEAVE THESE BLACK SPECS ON
THE SEEM OF THE MATTRESS 10 YOU'RE
LOOKING FOR LITTLE TINY DRIED BLOOD
SPOTS
(END SOT)
So you should be on the lookout
because you can bring these bugs home
with you.

Here is what a bed bug looks like.
They can vary in size, some even
smaller than the tip of a pencil.
They thrive on blood. One of the
first indications that you've come in
contact with them is a bite, similar to
a mosquito bite.

A LOT OF PEOPLE DON'T REALIZE THAT BED

THEM THEY ARE VERY DIFFICULT TO

THEM AND THIS HAS BEEN A PARTICULAR
ISSUE THAT PEOPLE HAVE BEEN CONCERNED

So what can you do to protect
yourself? Inspecting places where you
stay is crucial because they not only
hide in beds, but behind picture
