GRAPHIC=None Former Beatle John Lennon would

have been 65 years old this weekend.

A writer is using the opportunity
to launch a new book.

ENG#=2 VO-NAT

VO-NAT In "John Lennon Revealed," Larry Kane

says he debunks some common
misconceptions about Lennon and the
Beatles.

Kane covered the Beatles on their
1964 tour of America.

He says, contrary to popular
opinion, Lennon and Paul McCartney were
close friends.

Kane also says people are wrong when
they blame Yoko Ono for splitting up
the band.

He says each Beatle thought he would
be even bigger as a solo performer.
