Her Jeep Cherokee struck a large

GRAPHIC=Shooting A Bedford County woman is


recovering after being shot twice by a
burglar.

It happened last night on Ross
Road in Stewartsville.

Police say Bradley Pritchett
broke into the woman's home and shot
her in the chest and leg.

She was able to call 9-11, and
police later arrested Pritchett.

Police say the two knew each
other, but not very well.

Pritchett's being held without
bail.

The victim is in stable condition
at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

in the next couple of weeks.

Wertz says the most recent rain

showers will greatly improve the load
of vegetables she's planning to bring
to the market next weekend.

And while the rain paid off for
the farmers, it didn't help the Salem's
Kids Festival.

The festival was canceled.

But these children dressed up and

Security memo -- the attack was
supposed to occur sometime on or around
tomorrow -- and would include bombs
hidden in bags or baby strollers.

The department sent the six-page
memo to state and local officials

officials doubted the threat's
credibility -- although it included
four pages of advice on how to avoid an
