A chain reaction on Interstate 81
this morning kept drivers from getting
to work on time.

ENG#=3 VO-NAT

VO-NAT State police say David Allen Dunn

of Princeton, West Virginia, slammed on
his dump truck's brakes to avoid
traffic that was stacking up behind a
car fire.

That's when he lost control, hit
the guardrail, overturned, and blocked
both northbound lanes near Milemarker
120.

Another truck owned by Dunn also
lost control and hit the guardrail.

Both drivers were charged with
failure to maintain control of a
vehicle.

The fallout from last weekend's violent

Orleans...now has the FBI involved.
The bureau has opened a civil

rights investigation into the actions
of the 3 police officers and two

federal agents who took part in the
bloody arrest of a retired school

teacher.

Robert Davis says he went out to buy
cigarettes Saturday night in the

French Quarter and stopped a police
officer on horseback to ask about a

curfew.

interrupted and I told him that

"I don't drink. I haven't had a drink

Yet to be heard is the police officer's
side of this story. Officials

say they will be judged on all the
facts and not just what the video

shows.

Three officers have plead "not guilty"
to battery charges and have been

suspended without pay. Their trial is
