Kristi Basham and George Wilhelm
returned to survey the damage, and
found little they could salvage.

The fire started in a bedroom,
and investigators say they have
narrowed the cause to two appliances
that may have malfunctioned.

The couple did not have
insurance, and relatives have
established a fund for the family at
Member One Federal Credit Union.
