Bill White, organizer of the
rally that sparked a riot in Toledo,
Ohio on Saturday, says his organization
should not be to blame.
Meanwhile, local leaders in the
black community say the incident only
sheds a negative light on the Star
City.

group, and riots broke out.
Officials say the riot was just
what Bill White and his group wanted.
White blames Toledo Police, the

happened in Ohio, White acknowledges
there is a local N-S-M unit and says
one day his group could march in
Roanoke.

GRAPHIC=Fatal Accident One teenager is killed and a man
is seriously injured after an accident
in Botetourt County.

It happened around two o-clock
yesterday afternoon.
State Police say a 17-year-old
girl was turning off of Brughs Mill
road when a truck, traveling southbound
on Route Eleven-- struck the teen's
car.
The driver of the truck was
64-year-old William Roscoe Rhodes.
Rhodes was airlifted to Roanoke
Memorial.
The teenage girl was taken by
ambulance.
Crews on the scene say the girl
died shortly after she arrived at the
hospital.
Her name has not been released.
Rhodes is listed in good
condition.

and officials say they plan to move
forward with the construction of a
distribution center in Buena Vista.
However, some residents aren't
pleased with the new facility.

Many people in Roanoke were
affected by the earthquake in southeast
Asia that killed thousands.

Saturday.

down an embankment.
Police say Ann Leonard was

A hair cut at Heads-Up Salon off
Franklin Road cost 20 bucks.
All of the money was donated to
local hospitals for pediatric medical
equipment.
