38- year- old Marlin Gray maintained
his innocence until the very end.

Officials say Gray helped push the
two victims from an abandoned
Mississippi River bridge in 19-91.

His attorneys had argued the state

didn't present sufficient evidence to
convict him of first- degree murder
charges.

However, both the U-S Supreme court
and Missouri's governor rejected last-
minute appeals for Gray.
