That's when a consultant will
present the report comparing the cost
of renovating the stadium to the cost
of new construction.

dollars worth of damages after a
runaway car crashed into them.

66 year old Gloria Hammer of
Vinton lost control of her Ford Escape
yesterday and crashed it into a house
on Craig Robertson Road.

Authorities say she was backing

into a driveway in the 1300 block of
Gillete Avenue.

Her S-U-V went over a 5 foot
wall, hit the side of one house,
traveled down a few stairs and crossed
two yards before crashing into another
home's basement.

No one was injured.

Hammer was charged with failure
to maintain control of the vehicle.

He told the crowd it was nice to

Governors Jennifer Granholm of

remembered as an artist whose canvas
was made of steel.

Gary Woodford died suddenly of a
heart attack last month.

He'd gained fame for his work at
the Milwaukee Iron bike shop which had

its own t-v show ... "Southern

Woodford's friends and family

for him this weekend.

Visitors can tour the bike shop
where different vendors will be set up.

A memorial bike run is set for
Saturday afternoon.

Police say these three women
were seen shoplifting from the Sears at
Valley View Mall on September 12th.

store and hit a parked car as they

have released a picture of the man who
escaped police custody this week.

30 year old Timothy Allen Sarver

got away from police on Monday.

It happened while he was being
transported from the New River Valley
Regional Jail to the Pulaski
Courthouse.

Sarver is also a suspect in a
Radford robbery.

Vista says it doesn't want the center
built there.

Former Nascar champ, Ward Burton,
has been named honorary co-chair for
the new Virginia Museum of Natural
History's fundraising campaign.

Officials say the five million
dollar campaign will help support the
museum's world-class exhibits.

So far, the campaign has raised
about one and a quarter million

dollars.

Construction is scheduled to be
completed by early next year.

The museum's expected to open to
the public by January 2007.
