GRAPHIC=SCAM ALERT 7 Animation Today's Scam Alert 7 Report focusses on

just one of the ways that you can make
thousands of dollars at home in your
spare time...Sound too good to be true?
It is. You've probably gotten e-mails
telling you that you can make lots of
money taking surveys online. According
to Internet Scam Busters dot org there
are SOME companies that will pay for
your information on a survey- the
problem is finding legitamite ones is
like finding a needle in a haystack.
Here's what you're more likely to find:
*CG 11500
Take- "Most Ads are for a Survey Most Ads are for a Survey Finding Finding Service" Service. The company wants you to pay
for them to send you a package on how
to make money doing surveys- If you get
a packet at all it probably doesn't
have much useful information.

Take- "Ranking Sites are often Paid Ranking Sites are often Paid Middlemen. Middlemen" They say they are there to help you
screen out the bad ones. The problem
is they often consider the ones that
pay them the most to be the good ones
Take- "Use your Favorite Search Engine Use your Favorite Search Engine to see to see if you can find info on the if you can find info on the Company. Company" Not finding any bad information doesn't
mean they are legit. In the web world
the company may have changed there name
10 minutes ago. Don't rely on looking
for complaints either. People are
often too embarrassed to complain when
they realize they've been scammed.
Steve on Camera Steve on Camera

There are people making money on the
internet- its just a good bet that they
aren't doing it by stuffing envelopes,

Roanoke city council will hold a
special session to consider the Victory
stadium issue.

Next week, a consultant will present
the report comparing the cost of
renovating the facility to the cost of
new construction. Some believe putting
lighted football stadiums at the two
high schools should also receive
serious consideration.

VO-NAT VO-NAT

ENG#2 But, some residents who live near

Patrick Henry High School met last
night to speak against that idea.
They have concerns about safety,
increased traffic, and especially

noise.

However, some parents feel stadiums
located at the high schools will
increase school spirit and cut back on
travel costs.
