arrest warrants every day ... but even
they can't keep up with the hundreds
that pour in each month.

As a result, there's a backlog of
more than 700 unserved warrants at
Lynchburg's complaint desk ... cops
this weekend are trying to thin the
herd.

When Hill was a young attorney

Highlands Resource Conservation and
Development Council picked up a
200-thousand dollar check.

The organization will use the
money to encourage local planners to
provide safer woodland subdivisions and

It will also pay for fuel
reduction measures like cutting brush.

helped more than fifty homeowners
create defensible space and reduce
forest fuels around their houses.

annual pumpkin patch fundraiser.

The youth group will use the money to
help build homes in the gulf region.

younger counterparts a drug free
message.

The students spelled out No Drugs
on the football field and released red
