Carmon Bennett filed a suit
against the Bridgeport Apartments in

Raleigh, North Carolina.

Bennett and his attorney claim
the conditions at the apartment were
unsafe.

They say the exterior lighting
was poor, and one of Stephanie's
windows didn't lock.

Police say a man entered through
her apartment at night, raped her and
killed her.

Drew Planten of Raleigh was
arrested last week and charged with
first degree murder.
