Another biker, who witnesses say
was riding alongside of the man, was
visibly shaken after the accident.

Officials say Franklin was

but Hurricane Wilma could still be
blamed for taking another life.

The body of a Miami man was
removed from wreckage today after he
died in a backhoe accident while
clearing debris from the Hurricane.

The 55 year old construction
worker was trapped for 12 hours in a
tangle of metal, live wires and storm
debris.

The medical examiner will decide
whether the man's death will be added
to the death toll caused by Hurricane
Wilma which stands at 21.

are still searching for a man who
killed one of their own.

33-year-old Officer Stanley
Cornell Reaves was responding to a call
around 4 p-m Friday when he was flagged
down by a person saying a man was
acting "crazy" or "suspicious."

When Reaves approached the man
and a parked van on foot, the man
pulled a gun and shot Reaves then fled.

It's unknown if the officer and
the man ever even spoke.

Reaves leaves behind a wife and
two children.

the Virginia governor's race in a dead
heat.

Democrat Tim Kaine has moved into a
47-to-44 percent lead over Republican
Jerry Kilgore.

Though the results do fall within
the margin of error of three percent.

The newspaper's poll just one

drenched Honduras Sunday as the
weakening storm moved inland following
an early morning landfall.

Honduran authorities evacuated
more than 7,000 people from 50
communities along the northeastern
Atlantic coast after four rivers
overflowed due to heavy rains.

Strong winds from the storm

knocked down signs, fences, trees and
electricity and telephone poles,
cutting off power and communication in
hundreds of communities.

Floods also damaged a large
amount of rice, corn and bean crops,
and sent snakes out of the jungle into
residential areas.

Beta is the 26th named storm of a
record Atlantic hurricane season.

little scary last night in Madison
Wisconsin.

Officials say hundreds of people
were on the streets early this morning
wearing costumes and celebrating when
police declared unlawful assembly.

And just like last year, officers
used pepper spray to clear the crowd.

Police say they arrested 269

people, most of them for alcohol
related offenses.

One difference from last year is
that there were no reports of smashed
windows or property damage.

researchers is hoping to open up the
entire sky for viewing.

The researchers are building a
telescope in the remote mountains of
Asheville, North Carolina.

The telescope will be able to
scan the entire sky 24 hours a day,
seven days a week through the use of
radio waves from space.

They're hoping the work will help
scientists better understand black
holes, supernovae and other
astronomical oddities.
