before... about 15 years ago.

Gary E. Pritchard, Junior was
convicted of assault and battery in
Roanoke County; he served six weeks.

Online court records also show
that Pritchard was convicted of
abduction in Roanoke City; he got a
five year suspended sentence on that
charge.

The picture jail officials
released is from their files.

A spokeswoman says this afternoon
Pritchard "collapsed" and refused to
cooperate when they tried to make a new
photo.

year old Awnie Murad was found dead
inside the store.

Murad was a clerk at the market,
and known as "Major" to friends and
customers.

Police have charged 21year old
Albert Lamont Jacobs with Murad's

two-hour standoff this morning.

A tactical team officer fired a
foam bullet at 92-year-old William

Cardwell after he came out of a
bathroom holding a small handgun.

The round stunned Cardwell long
enough for two other officers to move
in and get the gun away from him.

Police were called to the home on
Langhorne Road after family members
reported Cardwell had been holed up
inside a bathroom and wouldn't come
out.

He was treated for a minor leg
wound then taken for a psychiatric
evaluation.

No charges have been filed.

it would be cheaper to renovate Victory
Stadium, but keep in mind there are
several variables involved.

would cost a little over 23 million
dollars.

Ingerson won the twenty-five

thousand dollar prize after raising
student's S-O-L test scores.

Half of Ingerson's students now

the year in 2004.

Ingerson joins an elite league of
