year old Awnie Murad was found dead
inside the store.
Murad was a clerk at the market, and
known as "Major" to friends and
customers.
Police have charged 21year old Albert
Lamont Jacobs with Murad's murder.

family member at this home on Langhorne
Road around 7:30.
A domestic argument had led one
elderly resident to barricade himself
inside an upstairs bathroom, armed with
a handgun and refusing to come out.
Police were called along with a
tactical response team which tried to
make contact with the man with little
success.

allegedly making a bomb threat to Henry
County's Magna Vista High School.
Someone on a cellular phone called
9-1-1 yesterday, and said there was a
bomb in the school.
Henry County deputies with search
dogs responded but did not find any
explosives.
Investigators arrested a 15 year old
suspect for making the call from the
school.
The suspect faces felony charges.

Add on higher than normal fuel
costs it could be a crisis for people
in need.
Social Service Directors in the

the directors of local departments have
sent a letter to the state director
saying fuel assistance programs will
be too late in coming to adequately
respond to the needs of families.
