Three's preseason top 25, and are 1-2
in the ODAC's preseason poll. But the
Marlins and Yellow Jackets will have
plenty of challengers.

Roanoke was picked 4th, right
behind Hampden-Sydney. The Maroons
return 5 of their top 6 scorers from
last year's 15 and 11 squad.

PAIGE MOIR/ROANOKE HEAD COACH:

John Swickrath's Lynchburg
Hornets should be improved, as they
welcome back 14 players from a season
ago. And Washington & Lee will look
for progress after winning just 2 games
in 04-05.

JOHN SWICKRATH/LYNCHBURG HEAD COACH:

The most entertaining club to
watch this season just might be Emory &
Henry.

BOB JOHNSON/EMORY & HENRY HEAD COACH:

The ODAC is celebrating its 30th
year of existence this season. In
Salem, Travis Wells, News 7 Sports.>>

most successful, yet most humble
coaches passed away last night at the
age of 66.

VO-NAT Bobby Williams coached Parry

McCluer to five state titles and 198
wins in 21 seasons in Buena Vista.

But ever since his retirement
after the 1994 season he was hit with
one health related problem after
another.

He survived most of them
including a kidney transplant, but a
recent fall was more than he could
overcome.

removed from his right knee today
during an arthroscopic procedure.
Coach Bill Cowher said Roethlisberger
will definitely miss Sunday's game, but
added that he could be back for the
November 13th game with the Browns.
Normally, this type of operation
normally sidelines a player 10 to 14
days. The Steelers have decided to
start Charlie Batch and not Tommy
Maddox in his place.

Blink 182 burst on to the scene
from San Diego in the mid-1990's with a
new school, pop-punk sound.

The lineup included Tom DeLonge,
Mark Hoppus and Barker.

Barker says he plans to continue
to work on other musical projects.

DeLong has announced plans for a
new band called Angels and Airwaves.
