between an accused murderer and his

victim.

Roanoke County Police arrived at
this home on *Poage* Valley Road around
three o'clock Saturday, and found
61-year-old Betty Duncan Jamison dead.

Jamison had been stabbed.

Police arrested a 14-year-old boy
and charged him with first degree
murder.

Yesterday neighbors said the boy
is Betty Jamison's grandson.

Neighbors also said the incident
is a great tragedy that unfortunately
happened to a good family.

Police have not said if there was
a motive for the killing.

Brian Joseph McCloskey, a freshman at
Virginia Tech to Roanoke Memorial with
major head injuries.

Investigators still don't know
whether McCloskey was severely beaten,

the more they believe this could be an

Phillip Puckett failed to stop before
he pulled out of the Food Lion parking
lot.

Police say he was hit by
39-year-old Andrew Morgan of Roanoke

Interstate 81 backed up traffic for
several miles.

The accident happened around four
yesterday afternoon in the northbound
lane near mile marker-202 in northern
Rockbridge County.

Authorities say the driver of a
tractor trailer was changing lanes,

rear-ended a mini van, which then
caused a chain reaction.

The driver of the mini van was
flown to U-V-A Medical Center.

Two other people were taken to
Stonewall Jackson Hospital in Lexington
with non-life threatening injuries.

after an early morning shooting in
Danville.

Around 2:30 today, rescue crews
responded to 147 Levelton Street
Apartment 2-D in regards to a person
not breathing. Upon arrival, they found
a man who had been shot.

The victim is listed in critical
condition at Danville Regional Medical
Center.Police are investigating.

three o'clock Saturday and found
61-year-old Betty Duncan Jamison dead.

Jamison had been stabbed.

Police arrested a 14-year-old boy
and charged him with first degree
murder.

said the boy is Betty Jamison's
grandson.

Neighbors also said the incident
is a great tragedy that unfortunatley
