Friday the board fined Tim
Kaine's campaign 100- dollars.

That after the Republican
Governor's Association filed a
complaint over a mailer featuring the
Republican logo and picture of Jerry
Kilgore.

The board found the "paid for by
Kaine for Governor" notation should
have been more noticeable.

Just a few days later it received
an almost identical mailer from the
Kilgore campaign- one that includes the
Democratic logo and compares Tim Kaine
to Russ Potts.

In small type beside Kaine's

GRAPHIC=Nextel Cup Former NASCAR champion Bobby

Labonte is ending his eleven-year
relationship with Joe Gibbs Racing.

Labonte announced his plans to leave
today, but he didn't say

whose team he'll join next season. He
joined Joe Gibbs Racing in

1995 and won all 21 of his career
victories while there.

Following yesterday's race,
Labonte is 25th in the standings and

hasn't won a race since the 2003 season
finale.

Meanwhile Carl Edwards won his
fourth race of the season yesterday in
Texas.

Edwards moved up to the 3rd spot
in the Chase for the Nextel Cup.

He now trails leader Tony Stewart
by just 77 with two events left.

the number-three spot in the new
Associated Press Top 25 poll.

The Hokies dropped five spots to
number 8.

The top two spots remained
unchanged, with top- ranked Southern
California followed by Texas.

The Hokies saw their national
title hopes, and likely their ACC
Championship game chances get shattered
Saturday in a 27-to-7 loss to Miami.

They turned the ball over six
times to the Canes - and Marcus Vick
was responsible for all of them - with
two interceptions and four fumbles.
