Troopers are still searching for a man
they believe shot two people in the New
River Valley.

General's race.

With all but three precints
reporting, Republican Bob McDonnell
leads Democrat Creigh Deeds by about

victory but Creigh Deeds feels
confident he'll become attorney general

Monday Tim Kaine's father-in-law
was scheduled to have surgery for
bladder cancer today.
Linwood Holton was
Virginia's first Republican governor
since Reconstruction, serving from 1970
to 1974.
Holton appeared pale and
tired in campaign appearances with
Kaine and excused himself before Kaine
spoke at last night's victory party.
This morning, Kaine said he
was unsure of his father-in-law's
