Boeing today set an aviation
record for the longest non-stop flight
ever made by a commercial airliner.
The 777 touched down in London
today after taking off from Hong Kong
yesterday.
The flight lasted 23-hours and
covered more than 12-thousand miles.
A special two-person lightweight
plane travelled further in 1986 and U.S
warplanes cover more distance on many
missions.
But today's flight is a first for
a plane desiged for the typical
traveler.
