Falcons vs. Hokies The Hokies trailed most of the :00 afternoon.

Jamon Gordon did his part for
Seth Greenberg's club by scoring 12
points, including these two from the
corner.

But Martin Samarco poured in 21
for the Falcons who led it 33 to 28 at
halftime.

Coleman Collins led a Tech
comeback in the 2nd half. He tallied
22 points in the contest.

Zabian Dowdell's lay-in with
just 13 seconds left gave the Hokies a
71-70 lead. But following a timeout,
the clock operator failed to start the
clock--TWICE.

So Bowling Green got one more
shot with 9 seconds to play.

The shot attempt is missed, but *CG final Bowling Green Tech's AD Vassallo tips it into the 72 basket by mistake as the buzzer sounds. Virginia Tech Bowling Green won it 72 to 71 over the 71 Hokies. Tech plays Western Carolina

clarify part of the high school
football playoff picture. Last night
we reported that Hidden Valley had made
the postseason in Region Three over
Brookville, according to our
calculations. But when all the power
ratings points were tabulated,
Brookville did in fact make it in,
while Hidden Valley did not. Two games

that went a long way in determining the
outcome, the Titans loss to Blacksburg
and Brookville's big win over Amherst
two weeks ago.
