their night battling a house fire on
the city's northeast side.

They were called early this morning to
the 23 hundred block of Hollins Road,
and needed about an hour to control the
flames.

We have no reports of any injuries.

Hundreds turned out last night for the
relighting of the H & C Coffee sign.

fixture in Roanoke for more than half a
century.

Back in 1946, the owners of H & C
Coffee decided to put the sign up after
seeing something similar in New York
City.

They had no idea it would become a
pop icon.

in Pakistan has left at least three
people dead and nearly two dozen
injured.

Karachi, setting off an enormous
fireball.

It left a six- foot crater in the
building, and set several cars on fire.

Police say the K-F-C restaurant was

leave more than 300 workers without
jobs.

The late Rick Woodson, founder of

professor.

The university says Roger Groot died
over the weekend of natural causes

Nelson Harris, one apparently related
to his Victory Stadium vote.

tracking down a bank robbery suspect in
Bedford, thanks to the help of a
retired cop.

their night battling a house fire on
the city's northeast side.

They were called early this morning to

and needed about an hour to control the
