mysterious death of well known
political activist from Giles County.
Tonight, friends gathered in
Blacksburg to remember the life of
Susan Daniels and speak out about
violence against women.

A small group held a candlelight
vigil through the streets of downtown
Blacksburg this evening.
It ended on the Virginia Tech campus,
a place Daniels was known to hold
rallies for causes she believed in.
Her friends say this vigil is a
fitting tribute.

Daniels was found dead in her Giles
County home after it burned to the
ground.
It was later revealed her on again
off again boyfriend Niklan Jones killed
her, before killing himself.
A year later, friends are still in
