now wants the top job.

Last week, Steve Angle announced
he will be running for Mayor in 2006.

Angle is a case manager for
Franklin County high school -- and has
served on council for the past
15-years.

memorial scholarship.

the Howard Stone Academic Achievement
Scholarship to recognize Stone's

in Tacoma, Washington this afternoon.

Authorities say at least eight
people were injured.

The mall was on lockdown for
several hours, so authorities could
locate the shooter.

The gunman also took three
hostages.

Earlier this evening, the
hostages were released safely.

A police spokesman says no shots
were fired when a SWAT team took the
man into custody shortly before *four
p-m Pacific* time.

The suspect is described as a
young man.


Police have no other details
about him or a possible motive.

Central America and is now blamed for
at least six deaths..

In Honduras, residents in a
village near the town of La Lima waded
through the flooded streets after their
homes were destroyed.

Relief supplies were distributed
to villagers who were being housed in
temporary evacuation centers.

an already record-breaking Atlantic
hurricane season.

"Instead of including my answers...that
the neighborhood hoped that Keagy
Village would not come, that we hoped
our Windsor Hills Supervisor learned
from the election that he needed to
listen and represent us, that Roanoke
County should not rezone our safety
nets from residential to commercial,
that restaurants would create late
night traffic and noise and that safety
on Keagy Road would be compromised, I

to wrap up his 2nd Cup Series title.
Jimmie Johnson and Carl Edwards hoped
for good runs and a little luck to
claim the Nextel Cup.

NBC Sports Stewart had some good fortune just :00 sliding by the car of Kyle Busch that
went on a spin o rama.

The only luck that Johnson had
was bad. At lap 127 his championship
hopes went by the board as he cut down
a tire and hit the wall falling from
2nd to 5th in the final points
standings.

Greg Biffle edged out teammate
Mark Martin at the checkered flag to
grab his season high 6th victory, but
Stewart was the man of the hour,
winning the title by 35 over Biffle and
Edwards thanks to a 15th place finish.
