2001 Back in November 2001, the Grandin
Theatre closed after falling on hard
times.
A group of citizens then set out to
raise more than a million dollars to
re-open the theater as a non-profit.
With financial help from the city,
some of which was used to renovate the
theater, the Grandin was back in
business nearly a year after it closed.
