It's turkey day.
There are some things to keep in mind
if you plan on deep frying your bird.
Roanoke Fire-EMS and the Consumer
Product Safety Commission recommend the
following...
TAKE FS GFX TAKE FS GFX
Keep the turkey fryer in full view
while the burner is on.
TAKE FS GFX TAKE FS GFX
Place the fryer in an open area. Never
use in, on or under any structure that
can catch fire. For example, a garage,
carport or porch.
TAKE FS GFX TAKE FS GFX
Raise and lower food slowly to reduce
splatter and avoid burns.
TAKE FS GFX TAKE FS GFX
Cover bare skin when adding or removing
food.
TAKE FS GFX TAKE FS GFX
Check the oil temperature frequently.
If oil begins to smoke, immediately
turn off the gas supply.
TAKE FS GFX TAKE FS GFX
And IF a fire occurs, call 911. Do not
attempt to extinguish it with water.
