Ohio, a winter storm warning calls for

And the National Weather Service says
some roads near Lake Erie may become

problem at the Macy's Parade in New
York, and sounds very much like one

several years ago.

see a light pole came down in spectator
area. Early reports indicate two people
were hurt when one of the giant
balloons struck the pole.

Parade officials were monitoring the
winds but decided to let the balloons

students' bags exploded.

with the murder of a notorious Virginia
child molester.

Dewey Keith Venable is charged with
killing his cellmate, Richard

Alvin Ausley.

New York City police say two spectators
have been injured by a balloon at the
Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

A detective says the extent of the
injuries isn't clear.

The accident occurred at West 43rd
Street and Seventh Avenue, which is in
the heart of Times Square.

Television pictures show a damaged lamp

post, reminiscent of an incident in
1997 that caused permanent brain damage
to a spectator.

No further details of today's incident
are available.

Apple.

The challenge was to gobble up as
much turkey as possible in 12 minutes.

Artie's Deli in Manhattan hosted the
competition, where contestants gorged
themselves on 10- pound turkeys.

At the end of the 12- minutes,
nearly all of the competitors had
stripped their bird down to the bone.

But first prize went to Sonya
Thomas-- otherwise known as "The Black
Widow"-- because she likes eliminating
males in eating competitions.

The 100- pound Korean- American from
Alexandria walked away with 25- hundred
dollars, and probably a tummy ache.
