firefighters out in Roanoke tonight.

Ten units were called to the
scene after six this evening.

No one was hurt.

But the business was a total
loss.

Fire officials estimate damage at
roughly 150-thousand dollars.

Firefighters are still on scene
trying extinguish hot spots.

The cause of the explosions and
fire is unknown.

with the death of his wife.

says Elbert Lee Hicks faces a murder
charge for the death of 49-year old
Alice B. Hicks.

after falling through ice on a small
Wisconsin pond.

Authorities say the 44 year-old
man was ice-skating with his 9 and
6-year old daughters when the 9-year
old fell through the ice.

The father apparently fell in when
he tried to rescue her.

That's when the six-year-old
reportedly went to a nearby home for
help.


Investigators say the pond was
about 8 to 10 feet deep.

The ice was less than three
inches thick.

Miyagi in four Karate Kid movies, died
of natural causes at his home in Las
Vegas yesterday.

Morita was nominated for an Oscar
in 1984 for his role in the first
Karate Kid.

He got his start as a stand-up
comedian in the sixties, and caught his
big break playing a diner owner on
"Happy Days."

Morita leaves behind his wife and
three daughters from his first

marriage.

He was 73.

kids to see themselves on the screen,
play sports or do games and stuff.



VO-The TAZER combines a fun interactive
videogame with working out.

works you up, it gets your heart going,
and it's really good exercise if you
don't like to excercise.

TRAZER.

strap on your magnet belt and the
machine will start reading the calories
you burn.



VO-The Roanoke Athletic Club is only
one of fifty gyms across the United
States carrying the TRAZER. The hope
is this new game will attempt to make
exercise exciting and addictive for
kids. But, this new idea does come with
a hefty price tag of eight thousand
dollars.

Mountain today turned out to be a treat
for humans and animals alike.

another year of support- admission to
Mill Mountain Zoo was free.

Animals were given holiday treats
which allowed visitors to see some of
their natural instincts at work.

For many parents the zoo was a
