still investigating a crash that killed
a pedestrian last night.

It happened on Williamson Road,
just after 11 o'clock, when a car
headed southbound hit a man walking
along the road in the 5400 block.

Police say alcohol was not a
factor in the crash.

led to the arrest of a Craig County man
for the death of his wife.

says Elbert Lee Hicks faces a murder
charge for the death of 49-year old
Alice B. Hicks.

Hicks is also charged with the
use of a firearm in the commission of a
felony,.

He is housed at the Roanoke
County Jail with no bond.

force last night.

scene shortly after six o'clock.

No one was hurt, but the business
is a total loss.

Fire officials estimate damage at
roughly 150-thousand dollars.

The cause of the explosions and
fire is unknown.

Roanoke County Police say a
car headed southbound struck a man just

Police say alcohol was not

murder in Craig County.

charged Elbert Lee Hicks in the death
of his wife, 49-year old Alice B.
Hicks.

Hicks is also charged with the
use of a firearm in the commission of a
felony.
