identify a man who robbed a convenience
store there early this morning.

It was about 2:45, when the suspect
bought gas and a drink at the Stop In
store on Forest Road.

When the clerk opened the register,
he shoved one hand in a coat pocket and
demanded

money.

This is surveillance video of the
crime: the suspect is white male, about
30 years old with short dark hair.

He fled the scene in what looked
like a red Ford Taurus.

Anyone who might recognize him is
asked to call the Bedford police.

today.

A Richmond City bus struck a
vehicle and ran into the Patrick Henry
Building before slamming into a V-dot
building.

The driver says she didn't see a
truck stopped in front of her.

The bus shattered windows in a
House of Delegates conference room and
demolished a wheelchair ramp leading up
the Patrick Henry Building which houses
offices for Governor Warner and several
members of his cabinet.

The driver and a passenger were
injured.

No one inside the building was
hurt.

the scene of an accident, but today an
ambulance was involved in one- and one
person was hurt.

The privately owned rig had just
transported a patient when it tried to
stop for a school bus in Tazewell
County and hit a work truck.


The ambulance then flipped over
in the median on Route 460.

A crew member was treated at a
hopsital for head injuries and
released.

the car had to have a "branded title,"

Vehicles. The damage that Harris' car
suffered was not that severe.

Harris says she likes the car,
and would buy another Highlander, but
worries about driving a vehicle that
was wrecked.

bought the S-U-V did offer to make a
trade based on the full market value of
the vehicle.

And Carfax stands by its report
to Harris, noting that while the
company works hard to include as much
data as possible, there are many
accidents that are never reported.

Larry Gamache told News 7 that
consumers should gather as much

information as possible before
purchasing a vehicle. " We don't
believe the carfax vehicle history
report is the only thing consumers
should base their decisions on,"

inspected by a mechanic. And we make it
very clear the limitations of our own
reporting. Carfax can only report what
is reported to us."

student athletes living in Cambridge
Square Apartments.

subsidized section 8 housing, meaning
they are paid for by the government to
house low income families.

ESPN's story featured several top
25 schools in college football,
including Tech.

The story said many of these
students are beating the system and

But Virginia Tech officials say
ESPN did not give viewers a complete
picture of what's going on in
Blacksburg.

Head football coach Cal McCombs
was fired today after 7 seasons on
post.

said today that Cal McCombs last day on
the job is December fifth.

McCombs spent seven years on post
and during that time won 19 games and
lost 60. This season his team was 3 and
8.

He was passionate about his job
and had a military coaching background
- but like so many others found out
that winning at VMI is a tall task.

A search committee will be formed
to immediately begin looking for a
successor.

great Nic Schmitt earns this week's
special team's honor from the
conference after averaging 50 yards a
punt against North Caroline on Saturday
night.

The redshirt junior also had one
of his punts downed on the one yard
line.

Cedric Humes was an easy pick for
offensive back of the week. Humes had
a career high 134 yards on 20 carries
and scored two TDs against the Heels.

And his running mate - Brandon
Ore is the league's freshman of the
week for the second straight Monday.

He had 104 yards and a TD against
UNC.
