time for Christmas...

About 50 soldiers from Southwest
Virginia were greeted with a homecoming
celebration in Marion this afternoon.

and waiving flags as the Army Reserve
unit made its way into town.

The men and women of Company A of
the 463-rd Engineer Battalion left for
combat training in October of 2004 and
arrived in Iraq in January.

They spent most of the year
building roads and bridges, and they
made it through without any deaths or
injuries.

Soldiers and their families say
this Christmas will be the merriest one

yet.

He's got a five-year contract, but
says he hopes to start winning next

message for Tom Cruise: leave the baby
monitoring to the experts.

VO-NAT Cruise told Barbara Walters last week

that he bought his own sonogram machine
so he and Katie Holmes could watch
their baby grow inside her belly. The
Society of Diagnostic Medical
Sonography says it's worried that
Cruise will do something wrong and hurt
the fetus.

The society says it takes a lot of
training for an sonographer to become
certified.

It says "reading the manufacturer's
manual or having a one-hour
orientation" is not enough.
