sent a bicyclist to the hospital.

It happened at College Avenue and
North Main Street around eight o'clock
last night.

The bicyclist was not seriously
injured, but he required hospital
treatment.

Police are asking for anyone with
information to call the Blacksburg
police.

information on Friday's accident that
injured three people.

But they have NOT confirmed
witness accounts that drag racing was
to blame.

Police say the driver of this
Saturn was turning onto Gus Nicks
Boulevard when he was hit by the
Eclipse.

Witnesses say there is more to
the story.

RACING. THEY CAME FROM THE LIGHT DOWN

THERE AND STRAIGHT UP THE HILL. THE ONE
CAR WAS JUST TRYING TO CROSS THE ROAD
AND HE BARRELLED INTO HIM PROBABLY
GOING ABOUT 50 TO 55 MILES PER HOUR.

the names of the individuals in the
Eclipse.

The driver of the Mitsubishi is
identified as 18-year-old Joshua Wayne
King.

King had two passengers in the
car with him.

18-year-old Brandon Perkins, and
24-year-old James Morris.

Police have not released the
names of the three men inside the
Saturn, saying they must notify next of
kin.

However, they did say there have
not been any fatalities resulting from
this accident.

But the question of a third car
being involved was not addressed and a
drag race was not addressed.

Taurone says he saw the third
car, but it was everything happened to

listen up.. the American Heart
Association has made a big change to
its guidelines. (vo) Previously,
rescuers were told to push on the chest
15 times before giving two breaths. Now
the group wants 30 chest compressions
before the breaths. The force on the
chest creates more blood flow.. and
studies have shown it can improve the
chance of survival.

(wipevo) Researchers say a new

technology may be superior to
mammography at detecting breast cancer.
Tomosynthesis works more like a cat
scan than an x-ray. The woman is still
screened the same way but the image
produced is more detailed and allows
radiologists to look deeper into the
breast for tumors. Tomosynthesis is
only being used for research and is not
yet available to the public.

(wipevo) If you've had some caffeine
recently you probably won't forget this
story right away. New research shows
caffeine can increase activity in the
brain region responsible for short-term
memory. Previous studies have found the
stimulant can improve memory function.
This is the first that shows which part
of the brain is affected.

Police say the driver of a Saturn
was turning onto Gus Nicks Boulevard
when he was hit by the Eclipse.

Police have released the names of
the men in the Eclipse.

The driver is identified as
18-year-old Joshua Wayne King.

King had two passengers in the

car with him.

18-year-old Brandon Perkins, and
24-year-old James Morris.

Police did not release the names
of the three-men inside the Saturn
yesterday, saying relatives had not
been notified.

leaving a bright tail in its wake.

An amateur photographer caught
this on tape outside of Perth.

Perth astronomer Rick Tonello
said the meteor was no bigger than half
the size of a compact car and may have
been as small as a carton of beer, as
it burned 62-miles within the earth's
atmosphere.
