furious in the Lynchburg area as well
... and it's starting to stick.

The first flakes began dropping
around 7 this morning, and for a few
hours, it simply melted when it hit the
ground.

But around 10, the temperatures
began to drop and the snow increased
... there's between one and two inches
on the ground throughout most of
central Virginia now.

No major problems on the roads
yet, but reports of accidents are
starting to come in from the
surrounding counties.

for Smith Mountain Lake.. but the
meetings's been postponed because of
the snow.

It was this past summer that a
Moneta couple was killed in a boating
accident-

Another boater slammed into the back
of Larry and Judy Lewis' boat on a
Saturday night.

The task force has come up with a
four- page report.

It irecommends a speed limit of 55
at night and 25 during the day.

The task force also wants more
funding for increased patrols on the
lake.

The recommendations will be
presented at the town meeting tomorrow
night at seven at Trinity Ecumenical
Church in Moneta.

are trying to beat the weather this
afternoon.

scene of an early morning blaze trying
to determine the cause of a fire which
destroyed this structure.

Crews were called to this
business in the 61-hundred block of
Airport Road- just after four this

No one was injured, but the house
was deemed a total loss.

a concrete roof over an indoor swimming
pool collapsed.
