The court had just begun to hear
testimony from "witness A," an woman
who's identity will be kept secret
behind a screen, her voice
electronically distorted.
She was heard breaking down, crying,
but defense lawyers said they found
it difficult to understand her.
The voice modulator was turned off for
a moment...then a recess was
taken to fix technical reasons.
Upon entering the courtroom this
morning, Saddam Hussein appeared ready
another round, beginning his fourth day
in court with a phrase he's used
here before: "good morning to those who
respect the law."

is where i put louis.
THEN, LAST WEEK, WHEN TODD AND THE KIDS
WERE IN THE TACK ROOM, THEY HEARD A
FAINT MEOW. AFTER LOOKING AROUND:
For some reason I reached up and pulled
the handle on the refrigerator, and
Louis jumped out of the refrigerator or
fell out, or fell out. ((LAUGH))
LOUIS SPENT AT LEAST 4 WEEKS IN HERE,
NO FOOD, NO WATER, IN THE COLD, IN THE
DARK.
TURNS OUT, FOUR-YEAR-OLD TYCE PUT LOUIS
IN THE REFRIGERATOR TO KEEP HIM SAFE.
HOW HE SURVIVED IS A MYSTERY, EVEN TO
THE VET.
Someone asked how long can a cat live
in refrigerator. I guess a little over
4
weeks, at least. I know that now. I
mean, I can't explain it.
LOUIS -- NORMALLY 10 POUNDS -- CAME OUT
WEIGHING ABOUT 3 POUNDS. HE WAS ALSO A
LITTLE STINKY, AND VERY THIRSTY AND
HUNGRY. HOW DID HE GET AIR INSIDE THE
REFRIGERATOR? ANOTHER MYSTERY FOR
EVERYONE.
Must not have been a real air tight
seal on the refrigerator for him to
have
had a for 4 weeks worth of air, and I
said, well, i said it might have been a
pretty good refrigerator, it can at
least keep an cat fresh for four weeks.
Do you think your cat used up one of
his 9 lives? I think he used up 8.
DESPITE THE TRAUMATIC MONTH, FONDNESS
BETWEEN THE FELINE AND THE FOUR YEAR
OLD
HASN'T FADED. TYCE IS STILL LOOKING OUT
FOR LOUIS.
