shot and killed on a jetway at the
Miami International Airport.
Authorities say the passenger who
made some kind of a threat has been
shot by a federal air marshall.
What exactly happened is just
beginning to come together.

Police say the passenger was shot by
Federal Marshals inside a jetway at
Miami's International Airport.
He had been a passenger on board
American Airlines 924 from Medellin
Columbia.
Government officials say they first
confronted him on board. He had a
backpack and claimed to have a
bomb....he then tried to run and was
ordered to the ground...at first he
complied, then he made a move for
his bag and that's when Marshals shot
him.
The boeing 757 was quickly surrounded
by swat team members as it sat a
Gate at the Airport.
There's no word if any other passengers
were injured.
The plane with 133 people on board was
scheduled to fly on to Oralando.
This was the first time an Federal Air
Marshal has ever had to fire his
weapon.

and grand jury work, Lynchburg mayor
Carl Hutcherson has been indicted by a
federal grand jury on seven counts
ranging from bank fraud to obstruction
of justice.

They allege Hutcherson mis-spent
money for a non-profit organization he
helped create and also defrauded two
Social Security recipients of their

and the federal grand jury.

coaches has passed away today.

75. Reports out of Florida says he had
been ill with emphysema and died at his
home.
Carson was the architect of
Pittsburgh's "Steel Curtain"
defense when he was the Steelers'
defensive coordinator from 1972 to
1977 While serving under head coach
Chuck Knoll, the Steelers won two
Super Bowls.
He also coached with the Browns
in 1989 and 1990 and was an assistant
with the Giants and Eagles.
