An American soldier is dead after
an attack on a U- S convoy in Baghdad
this morning.

The attacker jumped on board and

Mark David Chapman-- the man who

will play next season,
The Houston Astros have declined
to offer salary arbitration to Clemens.
The National League champions
made the announcement at the winter
meeting yesterday.
The decision means Clemens won't
be able to re-sign with the team until
May first.
Clemens agent says his camp will
listen to other clubs first to see who
might be interested.

television deal that's worth nearly
four and a half billion dollars.

E-S-P-N was responsible for
growing NASCAR in the 80s.
But to get back in the fold - the
Disney Corporation had to pay $270
million dollars a year to split the
final 17 races on the schedule between
E-S-P-N and A-B-C.
It begins in 2007.
