One Big example--- the Southbound

lanes of Interstate 81 will be closed
tomorrow morning to remove a wrecked
tractor trailer.

The rig went down a steep
embankment this morning on Interstate

There's no word on the driver's
condition.

Beginning at 9 A-M tomorrow, and
*weather permitting*, VDOT and State
Police will close the Southbound lanes
between Dixie Caverns and
Christiansburg.

Traffic will be detoured
onto Routes 11 and 460.

VDOT says it could take several

The I-81 bridge over the New

to drive on.

A tractor trailer hit a patch of
ice and wrecked at mile marker 105 this
morning.

The rig skidded along the side of
the bridge before it jackknifed. The
front two tires and the engine went
over the side.

No one was injured and no charges

will be placed.

The accident did some damage to

A three- judge panel made that
ruling this afternoon.

Attorneys for Creigh Deeds say
some ballots weren't counted on
election night and need to be run
through their machines to ensure an
accurate count.

However, the panel sided with
attorneys for Bob McDonnell who argued
that only contested ballots should be
re- run.

The court learned that nine
localities- including Lynchburg and
Martinsville use optical- scan machines
that can't be programmed to recount
vote totals for just one race.

That means re- running ballots
there could have resulted in thousands
of votes having to be counted by hand.

At this hour, both sides remain
in court working out the final details
for the recount that's scheduled for
December 20th.
