(END SOT) Richard Pryor's last years were

difficult - multiple sclerosis dulled
his sharp wit and biting tongue.

(Saturday Night Live w/Chevy Chase)

Richard Pryor re-defined the
African-American funnyman. He spoke
frankly to integrated audiences using
rough language and off-colored jokes.
His comments on society were peppered
with four-lettered words and the
N-word.

(HBO special)

"Two grab your legs, one grab your head
and snap (bleep) Man, he broke.

Can you break a n------? (imitating a
white voice). Yeah, breaking a n------

is OK. Yep, right here in the manual,
page 382."

He pushed the envelope when it came to
differences between whites and blacks.

(HBO special)

"Police have a choke hold, they choke
n------- to death. I mean you be dead

when they through. Did you know that?
The n------- say 'yeah man, I know

that'. The whites say 'no man, I didn't
know that."

Pryor starred in more than two-dozen
movies, some of which he wrote and
directed.

(nat sound)

As much success as he's had, Richard
Pryor's personal life was haunted with
failed marriages, violence and
substance abuse. In 1980, he literally
set himself on fire while free-basing
cocaine, but he persevered and heeded
the advice of his grandmother.

(Pryor)

"My grandmother used to tell me,
whatever you do, be the best at it. I
go for that."

And when it came to performing comedy,
Richard Pryor was one of the best at
it."

OQ=my last game." < (END SOT) Bridgeforth Stadium looking for their

2nd state title, but JI Burton from
Norton stood in the way.

The defensive units kept their teams
going in the first quarter. William
Campbell's Danny Broggin throws up the

deep ball down the far side, but the
Raiders Jay Coleman makes the pick to
put Burton in business.

The Raiders then got the offense
in gear when Jay-mile Sensabaugh took
the handoff around the left end,
breaking tackles on his way to a 25
yard gain.

But the drive would eventually
stall out.

William Campbell took control
deep in Raiders territory, as Broggin
hands off to Matt Barbour and Barbour
rounds the corner and rambles all the
way down to the Burton 14 yard line.

Two plays later, Barbour scored
on the sweep off the left side,
bouncing off would be tacklers and
stretching for the goal line. The PAT
was no good and it was 6-nothing
Generals.

Then late in the half, William
Campbell went looking for more.
Broggin takes off on the draw play,
cutting back across the field, and
finding plenty of daylight. The play
went for a 47 yard gain to the Raiders
6 yard line.

The Generals would settle for a

24 field goal from Antwain Hubbard good
for a 9-nothing halftime lead.

Brad Bradley's quick strike
offense wasted no time in padding the
cushion in the third quarter.

Barbour got the call again,
this time taking the pigskin, slicing
and dicing on a nice run for a 22 yard
pickup and a first down.

That led to a 13 yard
touchdown run, as Barbour does the
honors to make it 15 to zip Generals.

William Campbell tacked on
a late field goal to win it 18 to
nothing. Bradley took a bath, as his
team wins its 2nd state trophy since
2002, bouncing back from consecutive
losses to end the regular season.
