causing some trouble on secondary
streets.

VDOT warns drivers that some
roads in the area may still have *slick
spot* on them.

GRAPHIC=Fire Officials say a fire that

destroyed a Floyd County mobile home
may have started near the washer and
dryer.

The blaze started at this home
off of Route 221 around seven o'clock
last night.

Two people were home when the
fire broke out and suffered minor smoke
inhalation.

The fire also stopped traffic on
221 in both directions.

This one happened Saturday night
on Wyatt's Way.

That fire also blocked off
traffic.

There are no reports of injuries

has been named.

Kenneth Cox, a two--year
volunteer, was voted 2005 fireman of
the year by his collegues.

Cox was presented a plaque by
Chief Lee Simpkins during a holiday
party last week.

Simpkins says Cox provides a
valuable service by always being there
to drive a second fire vehicle to the
scene.

the Extreme Makeover Home Edition's
build in Blacksburg the temperatures
were frigid for the final reveal.

But that didn't stop thousands of
people from coming out to see the big
moment and the big production.

After hours of chilly
anticipation a weeks worth of hard work
ended as the crowd welcomed Carol
Crawford-Smith and her two sons to
their new house.
