a lawsuit over the once- popular
painkiller, Vioxx.

trial with a hung jury.

After about 18 hours and three days of
deliberations, the panel failed to side
with the drug maker or the widow of a
Florida man, who died after taking
Vioxx for about a month.

Richard Irvin, and whether it failed to
issue safety warnings that the drug
could damage patients' hearts.

Today Britain's Prince William
practiced emergency life- saving skills
by taking part in a mock rescue on a
mountain in North Wales.

The second in line to the throne
performed the rescue with the Royal Air
Force Valley Mountain Rescue Team.

It's part of a two week stint
designed to prepare the prince for when
he goes to Sandhurst to join the army
in January.
