That someone was 39-year-old Felix

:00 The winner was Linfield
Quarterback Brett Elliott. He led the
Tigers to the national title in last
year's Stagg Bowl after transferring
from Division One Utah.

This season Elliot and Linfield
didn't make it back for the game but
not due to the effort by their
quarterback. He threw for 4 thousand
yards and 49 TD's. He is the 6th Q-B
to win the award. The Tigers lost to
Wisconsin-Whitewater in the
quarterfinals this season 44 to 41.

Last Night Part of the Night was dedicated :00 to handing out 7 scholarships by the
Roy Stanley Memorial Scholarship
Foundation. That is a new record.

The original plan by the

committee was to hand out only 5
grants. But that changed with the help
of the Western Virginia Football
officials, who all chipped in and
donated one game's pay.

That totaled up to a generous 3
thousand, one hundred and 25 dollar
donation that enabled two others

Firefighter Richard LeBlanc gave the
12-pound terrier crossbreed named Pixie
mouth-to-mouth resuscitation in order
to get her breathing again.

Another firefighter jumped in and gave
pixie oxygen prior to taking the animal
to a local vet.

Officials believe the fire may have
ignited from faulty wiring.

No people were hurt in the blaze.

The vet says Pixie is doing well.
